Our Hurricane Policy

In the event of a hurricane, we will stop taking boarders when there is a 70 percent plus chance of a direct hit or if it is forecasted that we will be on the "dirty" side of the storm. For the pets that may already be in our care, every effort to ensure the safety of the animals will be made, including boarding up all windows, moving pets to the highest and most interior area of the kennel, and assembling a team of our most experienced employees immediately following the storm. During the storm, a select few employees will take shelter in the owner’s home so they may tend to the animals no matter what the aftermath may be. We also have three generators which will run our well system so we have water, some lights in the kennel, and also fans to help cool the animals.
